Silver Leaf Pendant Light

Silver Leaf Pendant Light

After pressing collected leaves, (Cottonwood and two other types unknown, one from a vine, the other from a shrub) I used a precision knife to cut out small sections following the pattern of veins in the leaves, and laminated each leaf on top of a square of silver window tent for a smooth, shiny exterior when seen unlit, that also allows lots of light to pass through when lit from within. I mapped the negative spaces around each leaf and cut silver vinyl to fit the shapes to block extra light, lending more focus to the leaves, each a window of light highlighting the framework of veins in each.
